G'Day all, Recently bought this old caravan to restore but have no idea on the brand or year of manufacture. It has been repainted at some stage in it's life. The caravan is solid and structually sound but did have a couple of leaks which we have now sealed up. The air conditioner works as does the gas cooker Anyway, Here are some pics...

G'day revcore, and welcome to the forum! ;D I think you'll find you've got a Viscount Ambassador van. If you check on the front drawbar just next to the jockey wheel somewhere, you should see a chassis number welded there, which should be the letter 'E' followed by some numbers. Check the chassis number against those that are listed in the Ambassador thread in our Down History Lane section: Ambassador (by Viscount) - chassis numbersIf you then go right to the end of page 2 in that thread, you'll see some photos of the inside of another Ambassador, showing the same cupboard handles as you've got. cheers, Al.

Many thanks for the welcome and the identification of the caravan Al.
We picked it up for $500 and haven't had to spend a cent on it as of yet. We did replace one of the power points and also made a table as it didn't have one when we bought it. I'd love to get it 100% period correct although I imagine it would be difficult finding the correct era furnishings. A few of the windows are broken and need replacing but we may have tracked down an old wreck of a caravan that has the exact same size and shape windows so thats a start. Looking forward to getting stuck into the restoration.
Thanks again, Paul.

Had a quick look at the chassis number on the drawbar and it is E3467.
