Hi everyone,
I am buying a 1968 Olympic Contessa (fibreglass) which needs a door. Just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction to either source one or have one made? I would love to be able to replicate the original door shape if possible. ;D
I am on the Mornington Peninsula in Vic.
Thanks in advance,
Honey Blossom

Hi ATOG
This is one for you I think - the sooner you get my old dead door the sooner you can star making them for others!
Cheers! Seeshell

Hi Seeshell,
Is that a dead door off your deceased Olympic Riviera? (I saw that on your profile notes) How did the Riviera die?
Thanks for the reply to my message! Your homemade 51 bondwood must be a little sweetie, is she one of those really round bubble ones?
I decided to go fibreglass as I am not so great with renovating wood or metal stuff and the fg seemed in good nic.
All the best, HB

Hi Honeyblossom I promised the door off my dead Riviera to ATOG who plans to make moulds off them for people needing doors...so my suggestion is to gently poke at him about it. Our new bondwood is rather round and portholey, but probably not as bubble shaped as some - but we love her just the same. Cheers Seeshell

Hey there Yep Will be getting into it when it arrives. But it would seem that it will have to wait until September as it is being kindly brought up by one of the forum members. Great bloke that he is. ;D ;D It just isn't one mould by and by. To make an Olympic door there is an inner and an outer for both the main door and the small door as well...... So just for the entrance door there are four moulds...... lots of work getting it straight and pretty. Have a look at what it took just for an awning for the windows. vintagecaravans.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=technicalstuffboard&action=display&thread=4145&page=2Cheers Atog
