Went to a terrific garage sale Easter Sunday. Wish I'd got there earlier. Found this fantastic 1950's Northcote bicycle to ride around the campgrounds A string dispenser & a caravan washing brush

G'day sgtl, I think you should stay away from anything with wheels on it. The ol' tyre replacement problem is gonna be the death of you. Try this mob for a starting point. Surely this seller should be able to point you in the right direction: ebay listingThere's some even snazzier-looking cream coloured tyres in the UK: UK ebay [Edit] - these ones in the UK look like they are whitewall (?) (Good exchange rate at the moment between the Aussie $ and the UK Pound. ) cheers, Al.

Thanks Al, have tried all of them & non ebay bicycle suppliers. No joy. The only one the right size I have found is all black with very modern print/logo on it. Just waiting to hear back from some others, then will pull the wheels off & head to a bike shop to see what can be done. Never did find any pram tyres for the old pram. Lucky my caravan tyres seem to be standard & have found hubcaps & spares fairly easily Well one should really check things for oneself & not rely on children. It is 28inch x 1 3/8inch. Doesn't make it any easier to find though!

Hi There was an item on the TV over the weekend about the Doll Hospital at Bexley in Sydney having been in business for 100 years. Not only do they repair dolls but also prams, and it showed them cutting new tyre rubber for the pram wheels. It might be worth a try.

Very funny ST, some innovative ideas there but somehow not in keeping with the era of the vehicles. How much difference is there between 1 & 3/8 & 1 1/2 ? Would my tyres roll off? Thanks Griffin for the doll hospital tip. I did contact someone in Sydney & they wanted the whole pram or at least the wheels, also said only available in black so I've put it in the too hard basket for now.
