Gee, I like that van. Big as a house. Great 50s interior. How much does it weigh, you reckon? What would you tow it with?

Van made in 1060s? Is this where the troops camped for a cup of tea during the Battle of Hastings? ;D

Thanks Reddo,
Yeah, Humpty mentioned the Atlantic in an email to me. Went looking for it on the forum and found their groovy Austin. The hydraulic suspension makes it great for towing. Was thrilled to find the tow bar!!
Dorian PS Not sure about the modifications Whippy. Maybe a string of onions around the bonnet. ;D

Yep, fibreglas!!! You know your DS Don! Yes, that was part of the appeal. The aesthetics and symmetry of the two shapes. Spot on mate!

Thanks Humpty (pm'd me) and Chris,
Yes, Chris it's amazing how far the stuff goes. Almost like magic. I bought a small can however and will have to settle for one coat.
Thanks kindly for the reply.

Painted the Sunliner chassis with POR15 today. Still up on mate's hoist - which was a major drama. He needs it back by Monday for work. One can did one coat. Do I need two coats? It's very $$$$ Any thoughts?

Van looks fabbbbbboooo, Chippy! First outing? Love the annex. Is that the original? I have one too but not nearly as nice. Love those stripes. Yes, don't they tow well? I can't believe how smooth they are on the road. Keep the pics coming! Any updates happily drooled over.

This is a special thread. Thanks for sharing Swellwillys. Can't wait to see the final installment. Stunning! For someone that is a complete spatsic with a hammer and a saw, I salute you (swinging a tinny as I type!)
best wishes, Dorian

Most impressive effort! One of the most elegant Sunny restos I've thus seen. Thanks for posting the pics. Do post updates mate! Love what you've done with the wood. Is that the original cupboards or new wood?
