Hi Doug,
We are booked in to Kirra Van Park, same place as the last few years. Also entered the event, cause I reckon its a pretty good weekend every year.
We've been to every one except one, since mid 90's
Hopefully see lots of vintage vanners , & a lot of long time hot rod aquaintances each year turn up.

We've booked the car in, but haven't booked accommodation yet Need to pull our finger out, but are just waiting on the name of a caravan park a friend stays at. We normally stay at Boyd's Bay, but it would be great if we could just set up camp with the car.

jondii, camping with the car is what i am hoping to do, but shhhhh not sure how the organisers feel about that, im in the area where there is usally a gahtereing of panel vans, and i assume that they sleep in them, can anyone confirm this? I will most likely only get down there for the friday and possibly the saturday night on the main weekend, so its not like im setting up camp for a week, so hopefully i will get away with it

We got the last powered site at the Pyramid Caravan Park. Not far from Boyds Bay. It was recommended by a friend who stayed there last year so we will try it this time. He said a lot of rods stayed there and had a good party atmosphere at night. We spend most of the time at Cooly any way so its really just somewhere to sleep. See ya there .

Hi Jon & Di
We stayed there a few years back, & liked the park.
Its got a good camp kitchen, & as you said a lot of Sydney rodders stay there.
But we like Kirra more because its withiun walking distance of the event.

Hi All,
I have also booked in at Kirra in on 7th. As Dennis said it is easy walking distance to town and also the procession travels to Kirra, so it's easier to watch (with less crowds) than in Collangatta itself.
Like last year - the site I have booked is site 126, next to Dennis and Sue on site 127.
If anyone wants to try and be in the same area of the park. Just phone the park and ask to be grouped with us.
Regards Di

Hi All,
So are we arranging a get together again this year???
Last year we went to Kingscliffe Bowls Club for dinner - I think it was on the Sunday night.
The year before we met for coffee on the Saturday or Sunday afternoon at Twin Towns.
Either one has it's good and bad points.
Dinner on Sunday - good because then it doesn't clash with the car cruises on the Friday and Saturday - but bad because some of us leave to go home on the Sunday.
Afternoon Tea/Coffee - good because it gives us a break from walking around all day and we get the chance to sit down and relax for awhile. Bad because some people like to stay with their cars or want to stay within the thick of things during the day.
Either one suits me - what do you all think???
Luv Di

Hey Sharon. Maybe talk to Doug . He told me they had unpowered sites today and were quite helpful when he mentioned the VV group. You may have to piggyback power.

Thanks Rod much appreciated. PM sent My Mum always told me not to accept gifts from strange men, but in your case I'll make an exception. Now we have to figure out how Banno is going to keep the pancakes hot coming from Kings Beach? Sharon & Steve

Hi Sharon
Just call me Clueless Cathie, cos I only just realized you now have a 1958 Arrow hanging on your profile. Has that been there all along or did you buy Ron Mcg Arrow on Ebay during the Cowra Nats?
I am THRILLED for you if you just got it or even if you've had it for ages!
Took some photos of old picture theatres at Cowra Nats. JBJ & others bought their old vinyl in a store located in the old theatre at Canowindra. Still had some of the old heaters on the walls.
Most likely see you at get together during Coolys.
Cheers
