Hi All
We arent interested in going all the way to Bargara on this weekend. We've stayed in that park before, as we have a sister in law that lives at Bargara.
So if anyone wants to join us down this end of the world, there is a great caravan park Sutcac regularly stays at, about 2 hours south of the border near Yamba, & is pet friendly.
There are also other good parks in this area, or even Brooms head is not far away. Brooms Head is on the beach, & no pets.
Any others interested??

We stayed at Yamba Waters Holiday Park for four days on our way back home from the Crows Nest event last July. New owners took over the park a couple of years ago and immediately changed it to a pet-friendly park. It's not on the water but is quite a good park for a few days stay if anybody is looking for good pet-friendly parks. If anyone goes touring to Yamba, go on the private ferry that goes from Yamba to Iluka and back. It's a 45 minute trip each way. Costs about $6.60 each way per adult (last July price) and is a cheap way of doing a "river cruise". You can have lunch at the restaurant at Iluka wharf (recommended! ;D ), or walk the 10 mins up to town and find a cafe. We found it to be a great way to spend a few hours having a look-see of the area. The ferry goes over and back continuously throughout the day, so you get time to have a look around over on the Iluka side. If you've got a Senior's card, the ferry fare is half price ($3.30 each way), so it makes an even better day (Except that stupid me didn't have my Senior's card with me ) We'd never been to Yamba before, and found it to be quite an interesting little place. cheers, Al.

Hi Al,
Thanks for the tip about the ferry to Iluka. We've been going to the Yamba rod run every year since about 1997, & havent had a lot of spare time generally to(want to) go looking for things to do.
We will definitely give it a try this time, & I recently received my seniors card. I've never used it yet.

I spent a night at Yamba recently on one of my sales runs and got there early enough for a look around and photos. The area around the marina at sunset is very scenic but a beer on the balcony of the pub on the top of the hill overlooking the bay is magic. During my monthly sales trips south I have been finding a lot of nice spots in northern NSW. Now I just have to find a weekend free to take the Munro down there. Rollydog

Hi ,
We've booked in to "Fishing Haven" park at Palmers Island, just before Yamba. 0266460163
Get there thursday, leave Sunday.
Manager reckons the fish are biting off the jetty, so lets see if I can scare them away like I normally do.

Ok the weather here is quite damp, & the forecast thru to next week is 90% chance of rain every day, so we are calling this weekend off. I even went & bought a fishing licence so I could legally try to catch some fish.
Not that we had any response from any SE Qld people, but it is a long way for most of them to travel I guess.
No point going on our own in the rain, so I guess another weekend working on my Dodge is coming up.
