Hi,not quite sure if this is in the right spot, but we found this yesterday..... ....and remembering how excited a few folks were about big tandems, though we'd let it be known where it is for anyone interested. It's in a yard in Ringwood that has a fleet of rubbish compactors in it, looks like this has just been dragged in from somewhere else......the yard is right beside the Manhattan hotel in Canterbury Rd. ,go around to the side carpark and you'll see it up the back behind the wire fence. Access to the yard looks to be from Cant.Rd and behind Bayswater Car Sales.....happy huntin'.......

G'day Col, You left a sentence out of your post. The one that starts with: "I found the chassis number, and the number is ..... " I'm curious because I've only got one other Viscount in my photo collection that has that Viscount sticker on it. Not sure where it fits in to the Viscount history, but your photos above show a bondwood side so it's obviously from the early part. The van in my collection is all aluminium. This one could be a Number 8 ...!! ;D ;D cheers, Al.

it is just up the road from work and I know how to access the yard.
I will go have a look for you.

Sorry Col, didn't read that properly, did I? Time for another eye check-up methinks. G'day Leigh, yep would appreciate you having a look to see if there's a chassis number. The drawbar looks to be in quite reasonable condition for a van of that age, so hopefully it's the original one and not a later replacement. cheers, Al.
