Hi-lite Caravan

Hi All
Maybe this request should be on the Classic site.
My Doctor has stated he has a 11' 1971 Homelite caravan, and would like to know some history for this marque. Did some other company produce these .

Perhaps the Doc is thinking of "Hi-Lite", a small poptop brand made in Victoria from the early 1970s...



The first models seem to have all been 11ft, then longer models were produced as the '70s proceeded.

"I,m after some info on a siddons van (Hi Lite) Built by Jack siddons of the sidchrome spanners fame"


In a 1975 caravan magazine I have, the following information about Hi-Lite is given:
"HiLite, 31 Frankston Rd., Dandenong Vic.
An excellent minivan that has found ready acceptance. Ideal for small car towing yet will sleep up to four people in comfort."

No wunder I am seeing the DR.,chatted about the van again today, I buggered up, it is a 10' Hi-lite 1971 model.
I will pass on the above info.
