G'day Ray, Forum member jodel1050 has a Wanda van which is really a rebadged Franklin, although jodel1050 is in constant denial that that is a possibility. ;D ;D To his credit, his lateral thinking says that every Franklin van is just a rebadged Wanda! It's a shame the side-on photo in this advert is so blurry, but I can see enough evidence to say this van is also a Franklin, and is from the start of the 1960s. Back in 2008, firefighter posted a For Sale post for a Viscount that was a one-owner in mint condition, owned by somebody he knew. This Viscount had been sold new from wanda caravan sales pascoe vale melb on 16/1/70. So I reckon Wanda was just another of the many sales yards that put their own name on other brands of vans. One day I'll have to put my arm around jodel's shoulders and help him through the process of accepting he's got a Franklin. cheers, Al.

Hi Ray & Franklin, The badge is a little different on this one compared to ours, missing Australia for a start: But then ours appears to have been built in a pub. The Melbourne directory that Firefighter has a copy of has a 1968 entry where Wanda, 144 Pascoe-vale Rd M Pde appears? My Franklin Premier is badged as a Wanda, & maybe it is a real Wanda - but now this address at Moonee Ponds is The Brass Tavern, I can just see it being built out back of pub with a few Redbacks to quench the thirst - Wanda now has several of the real spidery variety outside luckily. As for helping me through the process of accepting Wanda as a Franklin that won't happen. We are going to get a vintage Airstream or Avion Sportsman! Almost bought a Mayfair (Mayfare) the other day & if Mark T or Brian haven't purchased it I may still do that, but Adelaide is almost closer than where this one resides in WA, just having a problem convincing Mrs Jodel that we need more than one caravan. Cheers Wanda & his mates
