My local Homeart store has 70L Homewell brand bar fridges on sale for $99, down from $129. Sale ends tomorrow Sunday 13th. Fridge is 240V only, and has the dimensions: Height = 630mm Width = 440mm Depth = 500mm Their website doesn't say anything about the fridge sale, but it seems like it's store-wide, not just my store. You can check out your nearest store in this link, and click on your State at the top. Give them a ring and see if the same price applies. No on-line sales, but they're coming soon (...too late for this though). Seems about the right size for a caravan, and a pretty good price too. cheers, Al.

Hi there
Sorry for being the pesty newbie will all the questions! I have a bar fridge I used camping (just a Westinghouse 240v 120l) which I could reuse in the van. But I've been wondering what others do about powering it.
Do you use inverters, and power them while driving? Or just shut it up, and don't power it up again until you are on mains? Are there any people who use bar fridges and do the occasional overnight on the side of the road - if so, how do you handle that?
Trying to decide if I have to fork out for a 12v/240 or if I can get by with several 240 replacements for the cost of one dual...
By the by ALDI are also selling small bar fridges at present for reasonable cost if there's one near you.
Thanks in advance... Seeshell

G'day SEESHELL, As you might guess there has been discussion about Bar Fridges on the forum over the years and......... I have to admit the search engine doesn't help you find those threads.....it won't search for words less that four letters long But if you click here it will take you to one of those threads. click here for another one. click here for more reading on a slightly different subject. Cobber.

Hi Cobber Thanks - I was getting faint looking through all the old postings. Appreciate you pointing me to the relevant threads. We might just have a go with our old camp fridge and then see how we go after our first trip away. I'm going to have to have a good go through all the material and consult the Oracle (father in law). Cheers Seeshell

We received the latest Homeart catalogue in the mailbox today, and the $99 fridge offer continues. Available from Feb 21 until March 13. They now have information about the fridge on their website. cheers, Al.
