We live in Queanbeyan, A.C.T boarder. We are trying to get our hands on the window locks for the "Franklin Royal". We have found an old reciept from 1968, in the process of restoring it. But where is the date stamp? My son and I are having a wonderful time restoring this beautiful van, but are having problems with finding pictures of "Original" van etc. to keep its memory alive. Any suggestions?

G'day bigmumma, and welcome to the forum. ;D
The words 'Franklin' and 'Royal' don't usually go together, so we need to work out exactly what sort of van you've got. If you have a look on the drawbar, about where the jockey wheel clamps on, there should be some numbers welded there. If you can tell us what the numbers are, it will help determine what you have.
And if you can post a photo of the van, that will be even better. Even if you post a photo as an attachment, it will help.
cheers, Al.

Okay Helps if you remove ALL the stickers to the original. it is the REGENT. ;D The only numbers are a F-10 one side and 0879 on the other and near the tow ball CWT. Will get the teenager to pop the photos up. Thank you heaps. We are most certainly beginning.
