yup.. you can Just need to remove the floor panel in the back to expose the floor pan which is the same as the rear floor of a sedan. Bolt in a rear bench seat .. fit approved restraints and strap the rug rats in the back. Reddo

Hey Reddo ! I find it interesting that a number of women members making comment on the van. All the best with the sale mate ! Gavnjooles Funny you should mention that SW. Whenever/ where ever i have displayed the panelvan ( and vint van too). I observe the same scenario played out time and time again. A couple will approach the panno.. bloke peels off and looks under the bonnet or in at the dash and seats.. Missus/ girlfiend heads for the tailgate ( no matter whether it is shut of open for a sticky beek. If they look like a good sort ... ummm .. SPORT ,, i usually say something like "Penny for your thoughts" More often than not they start the conversation with something along the lines of "our eldest son was concieved in one of these sin bins" or.. "I remember falling asleep at the drive-in in one of these and got home four hours late dad near killed me".. My usual reply to that second one is ... "Yeah right .. sure you fell asleep ( followed by a wink ). Its usually about now the disgruntled husband/ boyfriend arrive at the tailgate and drag the poor girl away by the arm.... The gorilla might drag her away and almost break her arm ... but he cant take away her memories.. ;D Funny stuff that i have observed over and over again. Me?? ...... ...i just use the van to sleep in down the shed when the missus puts me in the doghouse.....and THAT IS something else i have observed over and over again ;D ;D ;D ;D Reddo

Well The Panno( dol) fell short of reserve by 350 bucks.... And... i am as happy as a pig in poop that it did. Just another big reality check / slap up the head to make me realise that its a great old car and i should never ever have considered selling it. Add to that the fact that the "absolutely beautifully restored "windowless EH panelvan i had my sights on in Thorpdale Vic ( see Just cars mag page 175 or carpoint/Holden/EH) Fell way short of the sellers description. It pays to be persistent and ask lots of questions.. ask for extra photos . especially when it is obviuos there is an area of the car not covered in the photos supplied. To me.. if the seller proclaims something is restored it implies that it has been completely dismantle and all parts have been refurbished/ replaced/ restored back to original condition. It cheeses me off when they lie through their teeth jsut to get a sale... I would like to thank Humpyboy for offering to go have a looksee at this car. Fortunately i got the extra photos and dropped the whole idea of buying the car before he had time to check it out. Also would like to mention here that if anyone from interstate wants a car or van looked at here in The Newcastle area ( 4 hours drive in any direction except east ) i would be more that happy to do so. It sure can save a lot of heartache .. and dollars if you decide to "call a friend" and ask a favour. Bang .. crash.. ooops just fell of my soap box Reddo

My father would say "The Lord works in mysterious ways" Reddo. To which my mum would reply "Yes SHE does". I and Mrs. Halps are happy to hear the FB is staying home. HALPS Brisbane

hi reddo
that's the sort of thing that gives you the you know whats.
i had a 1971 mercury cougar xr7 convertible keyed about 2 weeks after i'd had it painted pearl white some years ago.
impossible to match up the paintwork to get it repaired so it stayed like that until i sold it 10 years later.
they really are just mindless idiots who are jealous of things that they don't have - unfortunately they're going to be around forever.
you'd like to catch the buggers at it and give them a bit of a work-over for their troubles.

Sadly, this is one of the reasons I won't park my ute or Monaro in a shopping centre; these low lifes are everywhere.

BASE-TURDS Two strikes against just you sounds a bit targeted to me. Happened to me years ago, 3 month old paint job keyed from head to tail light. I know I was targeted and why (job) and never bothered to fix it, sadly I lost interest so they won I don't agree with not using the car though, never had a problem apart from that incident. I've had more damage caused (accidentally) at club outings and events than in the public car park, and that peeves me even more. People with the same interest and love of cars can be so careless George

It gets worse.... Just went to put the ute away.. had a slow walk around it and found that the A-hole that done the screwdriver work on the door of the ute has also carved a dinner plate sized "Z"on the left side of the bonnet. I have to use the ute to get to work ... The main carpark is flood lit ...and has a high wire fence around it. but it has bushland on 3 sides and no boom gates / security.. about 100metres from the workshop.. so i will be parking the ute up in the staff car park. Still not 100% sure the damage was done at the shopping centre or in the works carpark. I have been starting at 6am and finishing at 5 .00pm. Doesnt get daylight until around 6.45 . We have had major problems with boneheads tagging the new trains we are building .. so perhaps they are getting bored with that and focussing on the cars. Been off work most of yesterday and today... will ask around at work and see if anyone else is copping the same rubbish. Will get the ute damage fixed once the van is back on the road. The ute is coming up for rego. will probably just historic rego it and only use on occassions where i can be near it all the time... A sad reflection on todays society... All stems back to the cops not being able to kick thier srese.. give em a good whoopi when they catcch em doing stuff like this. The cops know who is tagging the trains but cant do a thing about it untiol they actually catch em doing it. Reddo

Hey Reddo Sorry to hear about the damage by idiots to your cars. Mate there is just no excuse for deliberate damage to any car let alone an Australian icon.... There is a light blue FJ ute in my area that I admire most mornings as I see it in his garage..... Have considered how nice it would be to own one..... dad had two. But suffer the agony - it would kill me to think some b...stard keyed it. Even if someone has a vendetta against another there is no excuse for property damage.... Hope you catch the little darlings and shove your no 9 up their exhaust pipes. Atog

Hi Reddo That is terrible - two vehicles tagged. I'm very sorry to hear about your cars - we all know how much work you've put into them, and how much enjoyment you get out of them. Sad indeed - hope you can figure out where and why it is happening, and get some satisfaction. Seeshell
