Crikey! And to think that only six months ago I was warning you not to do anything major with the van, or it'll take over your life! (It was you I said that to, wasn't it??) Well, how wrong was I? That's a great outcome, and full marks to your children for the end result. (Oh alright...full marks to the parents for their help as well. ;D ) Very impressive van. Congratulations to all of you! Most people usually say in their responses at this point: "Now get out and enjoy it!"But I'd like to say: "Now get out and come down to Bellambi, and do mine!"I think that sounds nicer, don't you?!! cheers, Al.

Thanks so much everyone for the kind words... It really was a labour of love and I'm sure we couldn't (wouldn't?) have done it without your support and advice! Al, I'm pretty sure I'd be asking for a divorce if I suggested that we do up another van any time in the near future, but we certainly are keen to get out and enjoy her! Here's some pics of our trip to Boreen Point last weekend... beautiful little spot! We dot need much hanging space, so put some shelving in the wardrobe and lined it with old wallpaper. Found a great place in Brisbane that has old style laminate for about $15 a sheet, so we covered the benches that we'd rebuilt, made a nifty little thing to go in the sink cavity to increase bench space and redid the table top to match the benches. Now all we need is a fridge (that fits!)

A credit to the whole family (remembering your little helpers!) - it's turned out absolutely lovely. I particularly like the curtains and pinky cupboards. Enjoy the fruits of your labours! Seeshell

Hi Surfyogini, The Highway is looking great. Well done on what you have achieved with the van in such a (relatively) short time. It was well worth going back to the bondwood in my opinion (for what that's worth). Good luck with finding the fridge. You'll find something sooner or later. Don Ricardo
