Hey Alf You've been busy since your last post. ;D ;D ;D ;D
Obviously a handy bloke if you can glass as well as doing all your own cabinetry work.
Starting to look good. Is the insulation thermobreak? I used that in my Olympic and it seems to do a good job.
Just last week I saw another Sunliner being towed through Cairns. A Silver van towed behind a light 4x4 Perhaps another one being restored. Very popular vans.
Keep the photos coming Alf
Cheers Atog

Hi Alf,
You're going well.
Nothing to it really after a while, just simple hard work & keeping at it.
I reckon you'll make your deadline the way you are going. Cant wait to see it finished

greedy 53 the epoxy is fibreglass standard cure mixed with a little m e k solvent. this helps the epoxy to penitrate the timber hence saturation coat then you sand it back to get rid of the burs before painting with a high build it works well. its the same principal as when the plywood and glass boats are built so it makes it very effective against further rot.

Fabulous job you`re doing Alf. A real credit. And good ol` methyl ethyl keytone peroxide added in the mix. Painful to the hands if not too careful.Found that out years ago,ha. cheers gordon

hey dorian . did you have lots of tiny holes in your fibregass when you started painting if so did you fill them all .setting me back this is . the high build just seems to go straight over them bloody things . ah well i suppose nothing is perfect....your paint job looks great just wondering if imperfections are goin to be a part of the sunny life upon closer inspection.
