Hi, I'm a newbie here. We've just bought an old caravan - I think its number is 1036-6 and we want to remove the Electrolux refrigerator from it and replace it with a bar fridge. Can someone please tell me where the brackets that hold it in are and how we get at them? Barbara B

from memory the bolts are underneath...you need to remove the fridge vent to get at the heads then disconnect the gas line. then remove the fridge from inside the van Cheers Pete

Hi Barbara,
Before you do any dismantling, it's worth checking the dimensions of the fridge, and then the width of the door opening. There have been stories told on this forum in the past, of people finding the doorway of their van was too narrow to get the fridge through. People have variously taken fridges out of their van either through a window (taken the window out) or through the hatch opening (need plenty of muscles to do it this way).
cheers, Al.

Thank you Al and Pete. I checked the width and it will fit out the door - just. Barbara B

Hi, is anyone interested in this fridge? It's an Electrolux RM360 gas/electric fridge. We turned it on (240V) when we brought the caravan home, but not sure if it is really cold enough - or even if it works on gas or 12V. It's free to a good home if someone wants to pick it up. Barbara B

Hi f/f, we're going to change the van to 240v only because it's going on site at my sister's rural property for when we visit her. We've been using a tent until now but we're starting to feel our age. It won't be used for touring or travelling. We'll want to replace the small gas cooker in it too. It has two burners and a grill.
