Howdy all, wondering if anyone knows about this beauty - saw it in Mallacoota? Victoria when we were holidaying last March - got a bit excited but couldn't bring myself to knock on the house door for a good look- was a bit embarassed about the drool running down my chin. Hell, it might even belong to one of the VV Family! Now this is a magazine some dear friend gave me - inside it has plans for the van on the front - I can scan those too if anyone's really keen. No dribbling, now.

Hi Jackie, Somewhere in the salvaged boxes from my garage fire is a stack of these types of magazines, including the one you've listed. From memory, the plans for this van were spread over two issues, Nov and Dec of 1958. I seem to remember getting the Nov issue off ebay, and then seeing the article continued into the Dec issue. So it was back onto ebay to get the rest of the story (which I eventually did! ). A very handy magazine to add to your collection. cheers, Al.

Hi Jackie
Couldn't agree more, that Sunny really is gorgeous, just love the lines on it ;D
If the offer of the plans is still on I would be really interested in having a look, and Al should you manage to track down the December issue would love to have a look at that as well please. Probably best way is to send a pm with the info in it.
Cheers
Cornish Lass

Hi Scoot Homemade spin drier....... Place masking tape on dogs tail. drape wet item over dog. Dog will spin happily in circles. Check item every 5 minutes. Remove tape when item is dry. Allow dog to spin slowly to stop on "cool down cycle". That old van on the cover of the mag has similaritys to this one. unusual valences along the bottom edge of the sides. 2 fold out wooden windows at either end. Reddo

Yeah Jackie - I saw that Sunliner about 2 1/2 years ago and posted a pic then. Saw it again when travelling through there this January. Amazing how well it has aged, considering it's not under cover. Would it be because it is 2pac paint??? Ray

Hey Scootman. Now what would be the use of making your own spin dryer? Have you ever actually USED one? J
