G'day All, This post just barely scrapes in to qualify for entry here. Someone has donated three home movies that were taken during 1960 or thereabouts. Film No.1 is of the main street in Ballarat Vic., plus a remarkable "shell house" someone made. Film No. 2 is of the Stanwell Park area, just north of Coledale NSW. This one shows a quick glimpse of a caravan park right at the start (blink and you'll miss it). Hit the pause button at 1:20secs into the film and you'll see a young cobber flash past in his goggomobile, spewing smoke as he heads to another Rock 'n Roll concert. . Film No. 3 is of the Surfers Paradise area. Lots of cars going past. Old advertising signs. A young boy in a pool on a Li-Lo float. Lots of memories of what life was like when you were knee-high to a grasshopper. Warning: if you don't have broadband, have a go a Film No.2 first, and see how you go with the download speed. At least you'll see the caravans right at the start. Film resolution is fairly good in "Full Screen" mode, so fill your screen and sit back and enjoy... 1. Ballarat2. Stanwell Park3. Surfers Paradisecheers, Al.
