Question for the gurus of all things fibreglass, after reading the Gracemur thread im wondering about the front window configuration ? The chassis has 6100 550 183 stamped on it , and yes Sutcac it is the van that we picked up from Taree many moons ago, finally had some motivation, getting close to stage of hi-build under coating ( suggestions on paint types greatly appreciated ) so l leave you with my connundrem!! cheers Ralphy

Hi Ralphy My two bobs worth, it appears to be a later model Sunliner from Foster judging by the cab and its smooth shape. The front window appears to be a Gracemur modification, the rear window is a more recent modification (it appears that the curved windows may have been removed at some stage) as the wind-outs were not available until early '72. In summary a Sunliner with window modifications. Cheers boblor

The square tube section on the top of the chassis is one of the trademarks of the Bundaberg assembled Gracemur/Sunliner. It could about a '61 model by the use of the number plate mount....but the rear window is definately a modification, probably made by the owner........see the different style of aluminium framing.

humpty, It might possibly be a wind-out window from the 1970s. Classic vans have those plastic brackets, either side near the top, for the winding mechanism. cheers, Al.

Took a couple of pics of the inside of the back windout window mod, someone has cleverly plated the inside to look like original slotted screws and all !! They have also gone to the trouble of reproducing the shelf support, l imagine there is only one in the perspex window sunnies ? The one on the right rear is made up of fiberglass chop matting, l originaly thought it had a single rear window to match the front one but can now clearly define the modification on the out side due to countless hours stripping and sanding, There are no real structural issues with it so l just might leave it there, The van does have the coil over shock suspension if that helps to narrow it down any?? cheers Ralphy
