Hello all. This is my first posting being a new member. I'm hoping to make contact with any fellow owners of the Carapark Junior. I'm looking for interior layout pictures for reference, as this van has no fitout inside at present. Or if someone nearby has one I could look at and use to determine the specs, that would be great. Located in Melbourne. Cheers.

G'day busby11 and welcome to the forum ;D ;D Can't say I've seen a lot of these Hunter Juniors appearing on the forum in recent years. These old toaster vans seem to be an "acquired taste"...you either love 'em or hate 'em, and people tend to think of them as being more like the 'commercial' vans built in those days, rather than a van that people would go away on holidays in. I have one set of photos of the inside of a van similar to yours, but it's the larger model. These were posted by somebody on this forum a couple of years ago. Can't remember who or when... I can email the whole set of photos to you if you send me an email address in a Personal Message (click on my Franklin1 name in the box on the left of this reply. A new screen will come up on your computer. Click "Send Personal Message" in the top centre of the screen, and then write the message into the box that comes up.) The only other Hunter Junior I can remember appearing on this forum is this one posted by dosse in Nov 2007... Hope this helps... cheers, Al.

I posted one in the for sale I think it was a couple of months back - at mitchell caravans. there were some internal shots I think. I will go check now. Yep , on july 2nd in the for sale threads. It was not done out original inside for the most part but the stove and sink looked like they were the original setup. regards jennison

G'day Busby11, Welcome to the forum and the wonderful world of V V's. The following advert from Keith Winser's 1956 Australian Caravan and Touring Manual provides some pics of a Carapark Junior like yours, including a cut away of inside which may provide some info: The text with the pics is a bit confusing, but just to clarify - the inside of the Junior is shown on the bottom right, not the bottom left. To track down some further info (and the above won't really get you too far I think), it may be worth your while contacting forum contributor Austin125 who has a number of Carapark "toaster" vans, including a beautifully restored 1947 Carapark Superb. Click here for a link to a thread which shows some of his vans. Not sure whether he's got a Junior stashed away, but it's worth asking, or he may know of someone else who does. You can try contacting Austin125 by PM (personal message via the forum) or by email using the little icons underneath his name in the 'Author' panel in his posts. However, he doesn't log on to the forum on a daily basis, so if you don't get an answer let me know and I will see if I can arrange for him to contact you. Don Ricardo

Hi Don and everyone, thanks for the replies. Sorry for the slow response. I'll write to Austin 125 and see if I can get some info from him. I'll also try Cobber, (a link from Austin's thread). Cobber says Carapark shells are a dime a dozen out his way. The roof vent on mine has been somewhat modified so I would be keen to get some bits off the wrecks he has pictured if possible. We'll see how it goes. Cheers.

G'day Busby,
From memory I think all of the Caraparks I saw on properties around here were larger than the Junior...... in the old days they were sometimes used as meal rooms for workers in the market gardens, and these days are being used to store stuff in, so there isn't much left inside them.
I'll drive around and see if I can find any Juniors.
Cobber.
