Hi rubyrose & other wassies, If you paying anything under 25 bucks for a powered site nowadays, you're probably doing pretty well Just paid $21 for an un-powered site at Wonga Beach north of Cairns..........a real rip-off when you could actually come into the same park and have a shower for two bucks Daggsey from the far side

Hello there! I am new to this and may not be posting in the right forum. I have a vintage 60's van for sale in Albany WA and was wondering if anyone in the state would be interested in it. It is an Aristavan and is an extremely cute little thing around about 10' ,that is in fantastic condition inside and out. I will post pictures if there is any interest ( and if I can work out how !)

Thanks Mark, I found the for sale section just after I posted here. And will get some pics on there by tomorrow night. I am having problems with the way they are formatted so it's no use sending them to you but thanks very much for your kind offer to post them for me. The van is such a lovely little thing and I am sad to be selling it but mortgage payments must be made! I'll definately get another vintage van one day in the future.

well the 2009 WA Spring Tour has been run ....... A total of 10 vintage caravans towed by mostly old cars went on tour of WA's sou'west for a week commencing in Collie. The vintage vanners had a great week despite cold blustery weather with some periods of rain. Walks, mountain climbing, happy hours and pub dinners, private collection viewing & wineries were the order of the week. Sadly, missing on tour this year were Will & Lyn, who had car troubles preventing them from making the tour. I believe its the first tour they have missed since we started the Spring Tours in 2005. Jo & Greg (lilypad) assisted by Pat (loveshack) organised the tour, and did a fantastic job ......you should've seen our tour "goody" bag .....I'll do a seperate post later on the "goody" bag. The week started last weekend at Collie, where we watched vintage motor racing at the Collie Motorplex: On tour were: Raina was accompanied by her mum Fran Jill & Greg Jo & Greg Noelene & Greg Karen & Snail Ron ...... without Elaine Gemma & Brad Pat & Dave Sandra & Brian yours truly ........... We travelled far & wide .......... on gravel roads: and thru floods ......WA has had excellent rainfall this year, and water is everywhere in the sou'west: to be continued ...............

One farm we visited in Cranbrook had some really interesting collections .....cars, tractors, stationary engines, trucks, radios, washing machines ......you name it, they collected it .....an amazing collection indeed ......and all on a private farm not easily accessable to the public, and not advertised .....a private collection. mmm ......I have a caravan in Beverley that has a stove same as the alladin on the left .......... tractors as far as the eyes could see Pottsey on his way back from the oil depot ;D what collection doesn't have these .......answer ....mine ....can't afford signs as well as caravans the F O R D boys (and me ;D) got all excited over this exceptionally original Ford Landau Bullnose Morris Mark

another interesting place we visited during the Spring Tour was Harvey Dickson's Country Music Centre in Boyup Brook. Harvey Dickson is a local legend, and has been progressively building the music centre since 1979. He has an amazing collection of ......well .....er ......um ....stuff ......plus the world's best collection of all things country & western .....and a collection of Elvis stuff supposedly 2nd only to Graceland ;D ;D stuff hanging from the roof in the entertainment arena a huge country & western & Elvis collection Ron in the Bullshit Pit ;D and on stage .....the reason whe put him in the Bullshit Pit

speaking of Bullshit , I must tell you the pacesetter on the tour was the ..... "bog stock as a rock grey powered" mightyX, easily keeping up with the V8's during the tour ....... it was clocked by Pottsey at 70 mph on the straights (with the lil bondy in tow ), and again by Brian in the late model Ford ute at 110 kmh .....the reason .....a broken speedo needle The FX went sooooo fast down one hill, the speedo needle went up to 120 mph, had a seizure ..... broke off, and headed south .......just as the FX clocked a genuine 40000 miles from new roof cam ............ ....... the needle sitting at the bottom of the dial ;D ;D ;D ;D Lady Madonna maybe speed limited to 70 kph, ....... mightyX and its lil bondy are speed limited to 70 mph ;D ;D

Hi Mark Love the photos. Congratulations on achieving the 40,000 ks in the car. Not a bad feat for car so young As for the speedo... well.. I have seen the needle hit the stopper on speedos. But never ever in my life have I ever heard of a car going so fast that it broke the needle.. And with a caravan in tow.... ;D ;D ;D ;D bobt
