G'day all, Noticed on another thread that the Grand Poobah made a comment about the lack of photos etc from some of the West Aussie crew who went to Mt Gambier. I've probably been as guilty as the rest by the lack of photos.....however ;D...... I have counted at least 10 threads that were started in relation to the Mt Gambier Nationals......all contained good stuff including personal accounts of people's views, recollections etc ;D Like I said, however,....... which one should I attach my story/photos etc to without starting another thread , Perhaps others have had the same quandry, it's become all too hard and posted nothing . Maybe the admistrators could look at another category called Vintage Caravan Nationals with sub-headings of Morgan, Mt Gambier etc, a bit like Down History Lane. Just a thought Daggsey (serial pest from the West)

Hi Daggsey I can see no better spot to post pictures of the nats than right here under this thread "Vintage Caravan Nationals March 2008" It is a logical thing to do.. True we are all guilty of dropping photos all over the place. And i will endeavor to keep my piccies and rantings under the one topic heading. That may also resolve a bit of the problems we have with keeping up with recent posts. If the title sort of explains what the thread is all about then it will be easier to find stuff relevant to it in the future . Yours sincerely.. Reddo.. serial pest from the east

Howdy Reddo, I think that in a round about sort of way we agree on the same thing ;D.......that's why I put my comments under this thread . It was because of Mark's comments about lack of photos from the Sandgropers that I raised the point. I guess what I was alluding to was that all the current threads relating to Mt Gambier could be collated under this one thread, so that they don't just disappear into the black hole of "general". I'm not an IT expert and don't know if it is possible. Some of the current headings in relation to Mt Gambier include: 2008 Nationals Pictures; Perth to Mt Gambier; What a Great Week; Thanks Reddo; Meander to the Mount; Meander Memories etc.........all good stuff, but all over the place. Daggsey

Ok Krisbee Looks like ya have got some homework. Or is it a case of we cut and paste our stories and photos from all around the shop and move em here. Re Marks comment about wA inpit.. I dont think that by hearding all the posts under the one thread will do much, if anything to cure the lack of posts re MT Gambier by The W.A crew. There is a lot of people who took photos from both the west and the east that probably havent bothered to post pixs because most of the vans that where there have already been posted somewhere here by others. Not much point in duplicating pics But storys of trips there and back from where ever around OZ is always of interest. Daggsey has kept us informed of his progress, Hillbilly sent us a good account of his trip home. Will and Lynn made mention of the roo clouting their car and let us know they got home OK. Brad and gemma have made it home in one piece. Roger is off in the wild blue yonder,,,,,,,,,, So yeah.. i dont thing the W.A mob done too bad of a job per capita of reporting back Ummm that just leaves Mark to tell us what the Inflight video and the airport food was like ;D Reddo Reddo

Hi Reddo, Yes Bradngem got home alright. The weather was very kind to us on our return trip.We travelled home with some fellow west aussies and their FE holden. Our last day we travelled from Norseman to Bridgetown a very long 12 hours , sore bums,we broke the front window with a stone and lost both shackels in one hit, all on the homeward stretch. The van did us proud, she was very compfy to sleep in with lots of room. We look forward to other get togethers in the West and East. Gemma
