G'day Al,
Reddo said it first on another thread but, congratulations on your 1000th post and your elevation to “True Blue” status.
I reckon most of your 1000 post deserve at least 3 brownie points each because your contribution to the “Down History Lane” forum has been an inspiration to those of us interested in the history of caravanning in Australia.
We owe ya.
Cobber.

Thanks fellas, and thanks also to Reddo and Firefighter, etc, for their good wishes in other threads. Next month will be 3 years since I discovered this website while searching for information about 'plywood caravans'. Amazing how quickly those 3 years have flown, and even more amazing that I have had two vintage vans for most of that time, that I still haven't restored (what a slacko...). [Newer members should heed the warning: "Your first vintage van will NOT be your last vintage van!!" ]Hopefully this year will see a serious effort made to get the Franklin back to 'showroom condition', ...just as soon as I finish the restoration of a 1977 Millard pop-top (...but that's another story). My thanks to all who have made this forum a very, very interesting place to hang out! cheers, Al.
