Thanks Hughdeani,
I've asked Nari if she has any photos. If she is able to forward any to me I'll post them on the forum. I will be interested in your comments.
I am guessing from the combination of materials used for the van's construction that it may in fact be a 1970+ van.

Hi Nari, My well-informed sources tell me that advertising for the Chesney Regal model commenced in the Sydney region in May 1968 and continued up until around 1974. The Regal name was given to a whole range of van sizes, from 15ft up to 27ft. I haven't been able to see the Aero-Frame mentioned in any of the adverts, however in many cases the printing is too small to read it clearly. From what we gathered in a discussion on the Classic forum, Chesney folded around the 1976 mark, and were taken over by Monier, who made a last-ditched effort with a Kampa van before giving up (...so we believe).
Hughdeani can hopefully narrow the year down a bit closer for you, however at this stage it looks like being 1968 to 1974 for your van.
Hope this helps, cheers, Al.
Update: Sorry, Nari...if my fingers typed what I'd actually seen in the advertisements, they would have typed May 1967, not 1968. So the Regal model first appeared in 1967 and continued until perhaps June 1974.
