G'day wildman, from memory, reddo is the man that will help you here with information. I had the following link stored on my computer relating to a previous thread about these pumps, but for some reason it now says "The thread...does not exist"... vintagecaravans.proboards30.com/index.cgi?board=forsale2&action=display&thread=1198805719This link was (or should be) in the For Sale section, but I can't remember how far back. Maybe if someone can work out what's wrong with this link?? The key word I've stored on my computer relating to the dud link is Fynspray, but as I say, reddo or others will have the info at hand. cheers, Al.

hi wildman i found this old thread of reddo's that shows where you can get repair kits for the hand pump. vintagecaravans.proboards30.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=technicalstuffboard&thread=1555&page=1in january, reddo also wrote this in a thread called "HELP Im Still Hunt'n Warebits" but the thread seems to have dissappeared. Hi Kingy Sorry i overlooked your plea for info.
The rebuild kits are available through a company here in Newcastle ( at Belmont) called BISAS. The are ships chandlers or for want of a better name "Boat parts shop" The Fynspray Galley Pump rebuild kit is approx $18.00 and you get the bits to replace all seals and plunger rubbers. There is 2 types of stem seal. one is a waxed cord that wraps around the shaft and prevents the water spurting out ariound the shaft when you are drawing water up from the tank. other is a later design felt seal that achieves the same result. never perfect but better than having water all over your laminex bench top.
Chris i am still searching for a pump for you. How did you go with Tickos

Only difference is "Shaft diameter". The pump i bought off ebay and fitted in "rosie" has a 5/8" shaft. All others i have seen in vans have a 1/2" shaft. I am almost certain that the kit supplies both types of shaft seal. One is an O ring other is a piece of waxed twine that wraps around the shaft and is held in place by a stuffing gland/nut. Reddo
