I'm in the middle of resurrecting cabinets in my 1966 Baravan Safari, and am looking for some extra hinges to match what I already have. It's frustrating, because I only need four of them, but can't find any. Does anyone have, or know where I could get some hinges like the ones shown in the photos? They're a pressed metal, and while I can find ones that are sort-of similar, I can't find these exact ones! I've tried antique furniture dealers, Grahame Brown Antiques in melbourne, who specialise in cabinet hardware, lots of different google searches... but no luck. Does anyone have any kicking around in their spares box that they're willing to sell? HELP! :-) Thanks in advance Brett hinge1 by Baravan#930hinge2 by Baravan#930hinge3 by Baravan#930hinge4 by Baravan#930

Knobs & Brass Unit 17/10 Hallam S Rd, Hallam VIC 3803 Phone: (03) 9796 3111 have them. I purchased some a few years back and although they were not quite the offset height I wanted a piece of flat brass underneath sorted that out.

Thanks, I'm in Berwick, so that's not too far away from me. I've dropped them an email with some photos for starters... hopefully they'll have what I'm after!

Thanks, I'll give that a go. It does seem however that all the "new" reproduction ones, such as sold by Goods and Chattels are made by Tradco (https://www.tradco.com.au/products/cabinet-fittings) and so every retailer has much the same options. I suspect my best chance will be to find some of a van that's been/being wrecked, otherwise it'll be settling for a similar reproduction hinge.

Unfortunately, those aren't right either. They're very similar to the Tradco Square offset hinge, which you can see is different to mine. Oh well, on with the search! hinges by Baravan#930, on Flickr

Good news, found someone who had some hinges from a stripped Baravan, so I'm all good to go!

Years ago I found that the antiques shops and markets in Daylesford a good place to source such things. May still be worth a drive out there. Has anybody been there lately?
