2021 VINTAGE CARAVAN NATIONALS
PS OSCAR W CRUISE (Monday, 3 May) UPDATE
MORE SEATS AVAILABLE: We have confirmed the two PS Oscar W cruises at 10.00 am and 11.30 am, and as a result we need to find 16 more people to join all those already booked to cover our costs. So why not join us as we cruise the waters of the mighty Murray River in a paddle steamer dating back more than 100 years.
Information on how to book can be found by clicking here. If you need more information post on this thread or phone Wal Robinson (for phone number see booking information). REFRESHMENTS ON BOARD: The group operating the PS Oscar W has informed us that unfortunately, due to Covid-19 restrictions, they are unable to provide refreshments. However, as we understand it, you are permitted to bring a bottle of water or similar on board for your own consumption. DOGS: As several people have commented, passengers are not permitted to take their dogs on board the Oscar W (except assistance dogs), but there may be some options for short term care of your pooches to enable you to join in the Nationals activities. We'll let you know about these ASAP.

2021 VINTAGE CARAVAN NATIONALS
DON'T FORGET YOUR CROSS BORDER TRAVEL PERMITS!
Travelling to South Australia
Just a reminder that if you're travelling to Victor Harbor for the VV Nationals from interstate, you will need to complete a South Australian Cross Border Travel Registration before crossing into South Australia. Travellers must complete a separate Cross Border Travel Registration for each person in the travelling party including all children. Information and access to the online form can be found here. In addition the SA Government advises you to download the 'mySA GOV' app to enable you to check in to venues using the QR code while you're in South Australia. For travellers who do not have a smartphone, they must provide their relevant contact details to a person authorised or required to collect such contact details. If you are travelling through other states to get to South Australia, you may also need a Cross Border Travel permit for the states you are travelling through, eg Victoria if you crossing through Victoria from NSW or Queensland. Travelling home
You will most likely need a permit to re-enter your own state after the Nationals, depending on your state's requirements.
Note
I have been told that it can take up to 7 days to obtain South Australian Cross Border Travel Registration, but I cannot vouch for that. Some other states have a system which apparently provides an email permit in 15 minutes. Don Ricardo

I applied for a SA cross border permit last week. They said to make your application 2 weeks before you enter SA (we will be entering S.A. on the 21st April). They require to know where you were in the last 14 days on the permit. Although there is now no conditions on the entry to S.A. (as from 12th April),we were travelling from the greater Brisbane area when I made the application, there were conditions on the entry then. Once I filled them out and sent them I received an email almost immediately with the approval for the 2 applications.

Due to Laraine having to have another Opperation April 28th 2021, She and I have had to cancel our site (112) at the Nationals. Not happy, but we can't change the date, the opp' must go ahead. Going to miss you all, we were so looking forward to a week away now that covid-19 has eased, and we can travel again. Enjoy Ralph and Laraine.

Hi Coronet, I'm so sorry to hear about Laraine's op, and that you won't be able to come to the Nationals. However, health comes first. I - and I'm sure I'm speaking for everyone here - trust that the op goes well. But we will miss you both. Don Ricardo

Hi All, Just want to let you all know that there are some fruit fly restrictions WITHIN the state of South Australia as well as at the border so please check before you stock up the fridge - you may want to wait until you arrive in Victor Harbor. You can check details HERE
As an example, we live in the North Eastern suburbs of SA so we are in the yellow zone and will need to buy all our fruit and veggies when we arrive at Victor Harbor. Thanks for helping to fight fruit fly ADDIT - SA are very intolerant - even if you volunteer that you have something that may be subject to restrictions they will fine you! Zero tolerance and fines Zero tolerance measures are in place at the Yamba Quarantine Station and at random roadblocks.
You will be fined $405 if you are caught with restricted fruit and vegetables.

Hi Graeme "The General",
That's terrible news. I feel devastated for you and any other Western Australians that may be caught up by the border closure.
We will really miss you - you've added lots of life and fun to the previous couple of Nationals.
Keep safe and well.

It is similar what we were looking at doing coming from Brisbane before they lifted all restrictions. Warren

We got as far as Norseman this morning, then had to make the call not to go any further due to SA restrictions listed below. Even if it took only one day to receive your covid results, (and they can take a few days), you have to self isolate while waiting on results, on each Occassion - day 1, day 5 and we would of left by day 13......., therefore we would miss to many of the National events as we would be in self isolation đ©. Also having to test when you arrive in SA might of meant being stuck at Nullarbor or Kimba for a few days đ€·đ»ââïž, even before being able to get to Victor Harbour.
Western Australia restricted zone
Effective from 4:50 pm 27 April 2021
Travellers who have arrived from the Western Australia Restricted Zone comprising the Perth Region and Peel Region from Saturday 17 April 2021 are now subject to level 3 requirements (unless otherwise directed by an authorised officer from the Department of Health and Wellbeing). (This has been downgraded from level 4 requirements.)
All travellers who arrive from Western Australia Restricted Zone comprising the Perth Region and Peel Region are now subject to level 3 requirements.
Level 3 requirements are:
Must submit to a COVID-19 test within 24 hrs of arrival then again on day 5 and 13 Must quarantine until they get a negative test result Must not enter or remain in a high risk setting for a period of 14 days after arrival Must not attend any event with an approved COVID Management Plan or at which more than 1000 people are present for a period of 14 days after arrival All Essential Travellers, returning SA residents, genuine relocations and people escaping domestic violence travelling who have been it the Western Australia Restricted Zone are also subject to level 3 restrictions as above.
Note: Western Australia Restricted Zone arrivals means a person who has at any time during the period of 14 days before arrival been in the Western Australia restricted zones of Perth and Peel regions.
