howdy all

a friend has an old (maybe about late 60's) coromal for give away or parts at erowal bay near nowra.



if you want it or you're interested in getting any parts off it, please answer asap.

if there's no interest, it's going to the tip in about a week or so.

Looking at the wheel & drawbar it must have sat there for many years.

Good score if this is close to you. Straight looking door which would fit many different vans from the era. Windows would be fairly generic to a lot of models, cladding looks very straight plus all the sundry parts inside the van.

howdy all

here's the deal with the van parts.

john is going down to eworal bay this weekend to wreck the van and take it to the tip.

he's going to (try to) save the opening windows, the front stone guard, the cupboard door handles and all the light fittings and bring them up to sydney and i'll pick them up from him and bring them home to our place.

so far, rodnet has first option on the windows and troyb has second option and finster has first option on the stone guard.

it will be your responsibility to pick them up from here or organize a courier to pick them up and deliver them to you. i'm happy to prepare them for transport but i will not deliver them personally.

please confirm on this thread whether or not you intend to go ahead with your claim.

i'll put some pics up of the handles and lights when they arrive.

hi do you know if it has the fine line alloy trims around the windows I need 2 for my 57 jennison lost them some how and the door

howdy all

there have been a couple of pm's regarding delivers of the free parts from the coromal.

when john has stripped the parts he will let me know and i'll pick them up and bring them home.

i'll pm all parties involved and give you my address for the courier pickup and advise you of what days i'll be available.

i'll size, weight and prepare the packages and it'll then be up to you all to organize a courier to pick them up from my place, i'm not going to get involved organizing postage costs but i will prepare them (at no cost to you) for courier pickup.

howdy all

john has been down to pick the parts from the coronet and here's what he brought back.


- stone guard
- door
- windows (some glass some plastic all rubbish)
- sink
- handles, hinges and a knob
- fly screens
- oyster lights
- manufacturers usage card from inside cupboard.

he said that nothing is really any good.

the windows, cupboard door hardware, external oyster light and stone guard are claimed, the rest is still up for grabs.

i'll probably pick them up next weekend.

howdy all

the free stuff has arrived for pickup.

front screen - 3.6kg, 1000 x 600 x 70
door - 12kg - 1750 x 600 x 40 (plus handle "thickness")
old table only good for legs (i can remove legs and throw away rest of it)



9 windows and 8 screens of various sizes, windows only, the windows seal against the van body and the body frames were too flimsy to remove without absolute damage. (claimed by rodnet)





sink (including hand pump) - 3.6kg - 800 x 500 x 150



oyster lights - 6kg, 250 dia + box of bits and pieces



reply here to let me know what you want, i'll wrap them up and pm you my details for courier pickup.

anything not claimed will go out in the next council cleanup.
