G'day All, at the moment the Technical Stuff section of the forum has an index with 22 pinned/stickied threads in it, leaving just two spaces at the bottom for any newer threads to appear on the 'front page'. I would like to post some new information that I also want pinned, which would leave only one space at the bottom of the first page for those one-off short-term enquiries, etc. So, an idea I would like to bounce off other members is this: could all the 22 pinned threads be put into a new board with a heading such as "Technical Reference Library", and free up the existing Techo Stuff section for any day-to-day enquiries that people may have? Do people think this makes a bit of sense, or should someone just "tell 'im he's dreamin'!!"? The creation of a new Board on the forum isn't difficult (as the short-lived Jokes Board yesterday showed ). It's more about whether people think the idea has merit. cheers, Al.

Hey Al,
Makes perfect sense - with restoring my '69 viscount, tech questions will be a plenty for me....
I'm in total agreeance....
Rgds,

Hi F1,
Sounds like a great idea. It solves a problem which has been evident for a while.
The alternative is to create an index a la the DHL or tow coupling indexes, but I think it would be impossible to do - far too many cross references would be required, and I don't think anyone would have the time to maintain it because of that.

G;day Al, sounds a good idea to me, and as you say easy to do.
Multiple "pinned" posts do hinder a board, so yeah lets run with it! My two bobs worth,
Mark

I've had a long held dream to have a full page of 'stickies' in the technical section and what happens ?......Al comes up with a good idea when the dream was about to be realised ... you could have waited Al until you posted your new sticky, and I was thinking of starting one about 'Reflectors' and we would have been there. Anyway.......... a new board along the lines you have suggested sounds good to me Cobber.
