Stumbled across this gem yesterday. The number under "Koorong" is 18. TWO shelves, would you believe? So, Al (Franklin 1), what year model is this? Paul

Somebody call me?? Knowing that Korong was a name that a dealer put on other manufacturer's vans, I'd be looking for another name relating to the factory it actually came from. Looks like an early Coronet to me, or at least it looks like an extended version of the one kaybee picked up some time back: Coronet van and the clearing saleIf it is indeed a Coronet, it's probably got a low chassis number like the one kaybee had. Edit: It didn't strike me as a Franklin at first glance, but I notice in your interior photos that a typical Franklin shelf (two of them!) is in the kitchen. It might be a Franklin, but I'm leaning more towards Coronet. Both were from Ballarat, so maybe Coronet was copying the Franklin shelf in the early days (or vice versa ). cheers, Al.

What a ripper Paul, reminds me of 'The Long, Long Trailer'. Would make a great family van. Austin125 would take the vacuum cleaner off your hands to add to his collection

As Al suggested, it must be an early Coronet as it is very similar to mine (No 9) which i bought from kaybee. Can you check the draw bar for a welded serial number?

Hi folks. Andrew - didn't ask about the hair curlers, but I'll keep you in mind if they're available?? There was also a "travel" iron (for ironing clothes) - one of those ones with the bulby fuel container ( for metho, or whatever), plus its original packaging. SGTL - for all its grand 18 feet, it's still only a four berth - double at the back, dinette table to a double up front, Just very large kitchen and heaps of cupboards. No more accommodation than my 15 foot Ambassador. Col - there's a big "if" there. What is the lowdown on the "H" hubcaps? Are they Hawthorn? Could be anything, I guess e.g. Huntsman, Hillandale, etc. Webrake..... - Wont have the opportunity to check for chassis number for some time. Also similar to this one on ebay www.ebay.com.au/itm/Caravan-Korong-14-ft-Retro-Vintage-/221273009639?pt=AU_Caravans_RVs&hash=item3384e62de7Paul

Hi Paul, the H caps are an accessory piece that fits onto a Holden hubcap ( if you're brave or silly enough to drill a hole in it ;D ).....I've been on the lookout for a set and I've got a drill....... ;D
