Actually that O ring idea is a good one too. Might be cheaper. I found out that Viponds Paints in North Coburg, victoria - make a paint called Tautflex designed to paint rubber, vinyl, leather, plastic & canvas if you wanted to paint the rubber white or whatever colour.

Another crappy weather day here, so what else can you do but muck around on the internet?? Seems a Google search for vintage pram tyres will show up some useful information... Possible source of tyres in the UK: www.pramtyres.co.uk/...But it may be cheaper to source them from Europe: www.vintagepramfan.com/tyres-and-other-accessories-for-your-coachbuilt-pram Scroll down through the list of helpful websites and get to the comments below the list. Read through all the comments, particularly the last few. Good luck! cheers, Al.

Oh wow, good research everybody. I might be a bit nervous transferring euros to that top one's bank account Typical that things are cheaper OS. Getting back to vans, seat vinyl & piping- Any hints on where I can source it? I once restored a horse gig but I cannot remember where I got the seat vinyl from. Maybe Clarke Rubber? It was pretty cheap & nasty black stuff though.

HI SGTL Mostly you can go to motor trimmers - they have a really big selection. If you're intending to make it yourself, they will often purchase for you for a fee. Daley's (catalogue online) has a lot to choose from - but only sell to trade. They do sell piping too. You can buy vinyl online in Australia here: www.fabricsupplies.com.au/index.php?page=147This company will make the vinyl you have into piping if you purchase something you like, but can't find a trim to match. www.jvs.com.au/html/product_details.php?cat_id=10Cheers Seeshell

There's an ebay seller in Tassie who lists a lot of vinyl in their store. Not saying it's vintage patterns/colour, just that it's vinyl. Not cheap either. I bought mine from Spotlight. Two grades: Interior (approx $25 per metre @ 1450mm width) and Exterior (approx $30 per metre same width). Limited colours. Wait for it to go on special (ie. a storewide sale) if you decide to buy from them. cheers, Al.

Was in Spotlight yesterday & they had none Yikes, that ebay stuff is pricey. Must be able to buy it elsewhere. I've found a few commercial sites but no public sales. I'll keep trawling.

Sorry SS, missed reading your links earlier. That vinyl & material supplier is worth putting in restoration/parts suppliers thread.

Ya slow'n up old fella.... 'Árold 'arold, There is some truth in what you say you young rascal......(why are people so unkind ) But then I think some of us are getting somewhat selective in the subject matter that excites us....aye ? Or is that also a sign of my antiquity, or the length of time I have been a member of this forum Albert Esq.
