Hi SGTL
I have an old Parkinson Stove in excellent condition - cream and black enamel, as well as a Falks white and brown. And others...god, packratting.
I have dinette cusions 1200 long in maroon (new foam and covers never used) which go lovely with green (green and red was our planned colour scheme for the Olympic).
I also have some old style lino squares (3mm streaky green) that could work for you.
Plus about a million other bits and pieces.
PM me if you're interested - also going to Bendigo on the Mexican Tour.
Cheers Seeshell

Hi SGTL
I have two matching with chrome bases and glass lights that are 170mm across and have the three grub screws for holding the glass in. Probably early 60s.
Let me know.

Any chance of a pic SS? I just don't want to have to re-wire anything if I can avoid it. You have been amazing with your help, thankyou.

Hi SGTL These are from a vintage bathroom. I don't think you'd need to move your wiring at all; it would require you to reroute your existing wiring through the fitting, but since there is clearance behind for wiring it's not really an issue. The shades fix with screws and slots (small turn and tighten in the screws). As you can see the shades hold on with three screws. Cheers Seeshell

G'day sgtl,
There's something about that 12v globe base in your light fitting that makes me think it's been added to the original light fitting. It's the sort of thing I would do if I wanted to convert a 240v light to make it 12v/240v.
I remember fitting these styles of oyster light fittings to a house extension I did in the mid-1980s, so I wonder whether yours are really vintage or not.
If Seeshell's lights aren't what you're looking for, do a Google search for oyster light images or clipper light images, and you'll see similar light styles to what you've got.
I pick up old versions of these lights on occasions in the Op Shops, but trying to pick up a pair of them would be a challenge. Nobody seems to like them in houses anymore, so you can sometimes see them listed on ebay if somebody's doing a house makeover.
cheers, Al.

Hi Al and STGL
I had planned to change the fitting inside the lamp. Having looked again at your pictures - it appears the light is side mounted? These are really better as ceiling lights.
Al's right that the oyster lights are readily available - I was in Master's (the Big Blue Shed) the other day and there are heaps of options. Perhaps you could use the 12V fitting and transplant it into a new light?

Thanks all. There are 3 of them, 2 roof mounted & 1 side wall. I don't actually like them all that much! It's just that I'm scared of having to rewire & not sure if I could find something I like that will fit over lge globe & 12v globe. Will do a bit more research.

I know this isn't caravan related but am hoping one of you hoarders of' all things that might come in handy one day' can help me out. The rubber wheels on this pram have perished badly & I'm not sure how to replace them. I have searched pram & tricycle wheels to no avail. Diameter of wheel is 6" (15cm) & dia of outside rubber is 7.5" (19cm)

Have you thought of checking out Wheel/Castor suppliers, they may have something complete you maybe able to replace with or you could look at removing the rubber tyre off a new wheel and refitting to yours.

Hiya Carley ,if you don't mind having black "tyres".....you can use big "O" rings....try the Bearing supply in Barry St. Bayswater , or check out plumbing suppliers for big O rings like used in Sewer connections,etc.....or as a last resort, there's a guy in Carnegie( Gary Jones) who specializes in restoring old pedal cars....he did some tyres for us on an old 3 wheel bike , he has the profile rubber made and cuts it to length and joins it .....but he's as slow as a wet week so try the others first. If you need the Garys' contact number,we should be able to scare it up for you,cheers.....

Hi Col It's Lindsey (SGTL) who is after the tyres - and I'm sure she'll contact you if she's in need. I'm just awaiting my porthole and polished annex wall hangers (Brass) back from Trev the polisher - what a lovely guy. All other van stuff is on hold for a breather. Cheers! Seeshell

www.bellebannevic.com.au/contact-us BelleBanne in Dandenong have vulcanised rubber onto my horse carriage with steel wagon wheels so that the rubber does not come out of the channeling on roads or tramlines. If those pram wheels are steel, then you might choose to give them a call to see if they can put new rubber on those wheels. I went down the path of trying to get the correct rubber profile for my wagon (which they don't make anymore) and costing out a new die but I would have needed to get them to make metres and metres of it in a viable run and it was going to be too expensive. Someone told me about this company that makes rubber conveyor belts and that they do this to alot of horse drawn wagon wheels as long as they are steel. They bake the rubber on somehow. I wonder if they could help you out. Cheers EnidB
