...I think this will be the final post of the rebuild, the only pics from this day on will be of our trips. Thankyou all for your support, advice and well wishes on this journey, we will be hanging around and look forward to all of the other reno's and rebuilds... And thank you Jamesandbel for taking us on an absorbing journey with the rebuild of the little Harris. It's been a great thread which has left many of us gob smacked with what you have been able to achieve from what seemed like an extremely unpromising starting point. Congratulations to you both. Now we look forward to seeing some posts about you and your kids enjoying your labours! Go for it! In appreciation, Don Ricardo

Made awnings today. Got some free canvas off a customer of mine. All I had to do was narrow it by about 150mm and sew the ropes in. One for each end of van Happy man. Now all ready for Xmas trip.

G'day jamesandbel, In our local Illawarra Mercury newspaper today, they had a half page classifieds feature about Fulcher Caravans, in the motoring section. I think I might have found your next project... ;D ;D cheers, Al.

Hi Franklin1 and Jamesandbel,
Hmm, a Gypsy 10, around 1956 maybe? Looks like a great project!
Jamesandbel what you waiting for? What was that? Oh, you're still recovering from the Harris project... ;D ;D ;D

Hi Guys,
I am too busy using the little Harris to find enought time to build another one.
We are getting out now about every 2nd weekend especially now the weather is warming up. We have people hanging out their car windows on the freeway taking photos and giving us the 👍.
Plus when we go to a park, we are always getting photos taken and comments on the little thing.
We love it and use it regularly, no need for another one just yet.
But never say never.
😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄

hi james and mabel
i'm still amazed at the amount of work you've put into your van and the fantastic job you've done on it.
i don't know if i mentioned it before but my neighbour's daughter married one of the fulcher boys, so i'll see if he can dig up any photos that the family took of the van when it was advertising for them.
you never know, something amazing might turn up.

A great find for you guys. Gives you an ongoing story-line of that van, which is always a great thing to have.

Hi James and Bel, About a month ago, I bought this van from a lovely couple in Randwick, Sydney NSW. She's looking great, has had all white painted interior. The outside could use a lick of paint. Just wondering if you know what sort of paint you used (so I can look into either stripping or painting over). She's such a cute van.. I've towed her a few times and we did one surf trip with my kids. I hope you have the same email to receive this! Krissy (Sydney)
