If anyone is trying to match a powerpoint or light switch, 1940's to 1970's, I have a collector friend that currently has some excess he is willing to sell. Message me a pic of the one u need to match and I can pass it on and message u back with a pic and price? Not for complete sets, just odds and bods that might be just the 1 or 2 that yr van is missing. He has lots of bakelite ones and bakelite bits-(bits of light fittings etc) (:>)=

Gee u were quick, I was expecting to come back on in a few days to see if there were any replies, LOL.. He has quite a few.... Real 'Black' bakelite is quite rare and there are a few different browns, walnut brown, speckled brown and some look blackish. I think the only way this can work is if u email me a clear pic (my email is visible in my profile) of the switch u r trying to match and I will forward it to my friend who will then rummage through his excess and I'll get back to u.. He works 2 jobs so it won't be a quick process but, may be worth it if u end up with that 1 switch u've been needing. NOTE- it would help if u can also email a pic of the rear with the brand stamps..

Hi Dave,
We found the same. Vernon we put new in the whole van which was fantastic. However we went this time for Valmay and spent even longer trying to find something that matches the fittings we already have. The other thing is they are very expensive we walked away again very light in the pocket and we still haven't finished.
We've used the Technical Section it's really good.
Cheers des and kel

Great place to go - you can easily waste a day poking around in Hughes. There's two similar businesses (if you're willing to make a longer trip) in Castlemaine that has old house goods, and one too in Bendigo. If anyone's interested I'll dig up the names/locations. Best of luck on the switch/plug hunts! Seeshell

Hi F/F
It USED to be there in the street before the fountain but it's out further now towards KFlat. I'll look it up - though mostly they have architectural salvage (windows, doors, etc) they do have other stuff if you poke about.
Renovators Warehouse has moved and is now located closer to Kangaroo Flat on Cnr Bellevue & Woodward Rds, Bendigo VIC 3539. No website, but phone (03) 5441 7002.
Cheers Seeshell
