Hi everyone. A couple of weeks ago I attended the Altona Beach Festival in Melbourne to check out the Hobsons Bay Men’s Shed Classic Car and Bike Show. It was their first car show and was a huge success. Given the large park (Apex Park) that the show was held in, I can see the opportunity to add to the show with a Vintage Caravan show together with tow cars. I live in Altona and hope to be involved with next year's festival. I'm wanting to gauge people's interest in bringing their rigs to such a show to be held in mid-March of each year. Anyone interested? FYI, I thought I'd show a few pics of the '54 FJ I drooled over:

Nice "J" there have seen one or two of these over the years but can't recall seeing this one, can you get me more details on this event as my car club may be interested in making this a Club Run next year.

Hi humpyboy. That would be really great if your car club could make the event next year. I've sent you an email with the contact details for the car show coordinator. Please feel free to contact this person. FYI, there were other vintage & classic cars attending the Festival, and not necessarily for the car show. A good kilometre back at the beginning of the festival, there were several VW Kombi Vans (ranging from late 50's to early 80's) parked next to the beach. Our own local Councillor & Deputy Mayor, Tony Briffa, took a particular interest in one of the Kombis....as per the photo below. As you can see, Tony enjoys his role and likes to take a "hands on" approach
