C.T.P CaravansManufactured by Claude T Priest 9 Madden Street, Devonport, Tas Advertisement for C.T.P caravan published in the Launceston Examiner on Thursday, 30 June 1938 (p 10):(Source: National Library of Australia nla.gov.au/nla.news-article52213829 )Note the lantern roof. There are no prizes for guessing where the name C.T.P came from! Mr Priest advertised his caravan extensively in the Examiner throughout the second half of 1938, and the advertisement was almost always accompanied by an "advertorial" in the 'Shopping, Motoring and Entertainment on the North Coast' section of the newspaper. Following is a sample of the "advertorials": 30 June (p 10):(Source: National Library of Australia nla.gov.au/nla.news-article52213829 )1 September (p 10):(Source: National Library of Australia nla.gov.au/nla.news-article52223730 )15 September (p 11):(Source: National Library of Australia nla.gov.au/nla.news-article52225897 )17 November (p 10):(Source: National Library of Australia nla.gov.au/nla.news-article52236367)Don Ricardo
