Hi Mark,
Thanks for posting the pics, seems every day something we havent seen before shows up. It certainly is an interesting looking van.
Particularly love the Chrome cup holders in flying duck v formation, with multi coloured cups.Probably served a whole family for years. The toaster would be getting a bit rare these days too. I remember burning numerous bits of toast in a similar model.
Cheers retro64

Hi Hughdeani,
Ravan was a WA firm which apparently stayed in existence until the late 70's, while Adventurer was a South Australian firm, so there's no obvious link between the two. However, by the time this van came off the production line who knows what badge engineering arrangement there was between the two? The '*Ravan*' signage on the side of the van is very similar to the '*Adventurer*' signage on one of the vans on the Adventurer thread in the DHL section, and the 1962 Ravan on the DHL thread for Ravan looks very "Adventurer-ish" so perhaps you're on to something...
According to the info in DHL, Ravan were producing vans back in the late 40's so they were around for a while.
Mark T: Can I suggest that you post the pics of the van on the Ravan thread in DHL for posterity? Thanks.
Don Ricardo

Holey moley - the curtains hit you don't they? But I love the retro cups in the holders!
