thanks bubbles for sharing those old adverts ......... .....interesting read that the 4 cyl Standard Utility towed the Furness caravan half way 'round Aus .........the caravan looks like a 14 footer, and I can tell you they ain't no lightweight caravan ..... that's quite a feat . Also interesting that they drove thru flooded Qld waters ......some things never change aye ;D also like the bottom pic, with the Don being towed by ........ whatever it is Mark

Thanks for the old adverts. Its always nice to see those old adds. Quite amazing that the magazine has lasted 60 years!!! Especially like the Carapark.

Hi Mark,
The car in the bottom pix is definitely 1936 USA made, my thoughts ( because of the front mudguard mounted spare) are either Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac or possibly Caddilac /La Salle
Definitely a top of the range powerful towcar in its day. For my choice I reckon its a Buick.
