Hello.
I'm desperate for a lovely old van, Ive been looking at 12-15ft I love the bondwoods, gypsy, franklin, viscount types but anything like that and all conditions considered. Mainly I'd like it to be towable and I'd be happy to make it so at my own cost, but prefer to know what I'm dealing with.
I have a dream to start a shop in my driveway (I collect and sell vintage and handmade goods) but I'd love to take off with my family at some stage too. Traveling in it is not vital to begin with other than to get it home. I know I'm asking a lot for that price, but I am dead broke and am desperate to make my dreams a reality.
I am really handy with interiors and furnishings can make and cover cushions, curtains, paint and sand no problem, I will have help and would tackle pretty much anything in terms of restoration!
Feel free to pm me or email @ bearbobaggins@hotmail.com pref with photo's and a good description. Am located in Melbourne but will travel and have family all over AUS so would go anywhere in VIC pref or as far as ACT, SA, TAS N.S.W or roundabouts!
Thanks for reading!
Claire

Hi Claire, I've been thinking a bit more - you may not have a vehicle suitable to pull a trailer + van but I do. Trailer hire here is $55/day, so I could run my van across to you if you'd cover my fuel (lpg) and the trailer hire. The main thing about my van is that its all there and has some pretty good accessories like the original ice chest, enamel 2 burner stove, scalloped edged mirror, original light shades, FJ Holden wheels & hub caps & tail light - but the most outstanding feature is the windows - thick glass with wheel-cut diamond pattern in-filled with gold paint. I've never seen another like it! The down-side is that there's a good bit of work but I'd suggest that there's nothing that an ordinary handy-person can't do.
Cheers again, Tom
