My husband and myself have decided to buy a caravan in order to start creating fun family adventures with our girls. Being an avid lover of anything with history (or as others would call vintage/retro) I would really like to find a 1960'ish Sunliner. I would appreciate any information, advice you all might have or if you know someone who knows someone etc could you please let me know. Cheers, B.

You've definatly found the right way to have family fun. Our two love the family and vvan trips. Most vvaners seen to have the lust for a time where things were slower, simpler, and can make good memoires. Maddy can remember the adventure we had when we picked up our van Vernon over four years ago she is eight now. How cool is that. I can remember when we arrived home with him and the next morning all keen l got into him took a poster off the wall to find a huge spider. Luckly the back window was out and l could yell to Des' boss to come save me who killed himself laughting, took care of the spider and told me the Kumbia Dump was that way. It took months of work and visits each week from Cam till one day have said 'I think he's too good for the dump now.' He thinks the only reason why we finished it was because he said to Des if you ever finish it l'll buy you a case of champers. We never got the champers but we got a nifty van which makes us smile everytime we use him. All the best in your search, one will come your way. Des and kel

Thanks Des & Kel for the support, my husband just thinks I'm a pain in the...foot! Your family adventures based around Vernon sound like the ones we want to have with our kids.
I have found a 1961 vintage in the trading post, the owner is stuck in the Brissy floods but hopes to be home by Sat so he can add a few more shots of the van for me. I noticed that some advice was to get other vvan owners to take a look and get them to see what they think..........
So if anybody out there has the time to do a quick search on the Trading Post website and take a quick peek I would really appreciate any thoughts you throw our way

Yes like you Surfingyogini I recently saw a done up Sunliner in the latest edition of Country Style mag, I will have to admit the heart fluttered and it was love at first site!!lol. I have been checking out some of the Bondy's and do like them also mostly the ones set up as 2 singles and a double, which would work best for my family configuration. So I will take your advice and make sure that stay opened minded enough to check out other vvans, but will most definitely have to be a van made before the 70's!! Hi Maurie and Kate thank you so much for your lovely offer and I will most definitely take you up on it if I am ever lucky enough to snare myself the very elusive vvan!!lol I have spotted another vvan on ebay but have no idea what it is, not surprising since I am a first timer at this . Cheers Bianca.
