A bit of a weird one but I thought you guys might appreciate her. Vicki was built as a magazine project for C&M by me with help from the trade, finished 4 years ago and limited use since. Originally kept in storage since 1972, it now sits on a Phoenix built dura gal chassis with custom made Al-Ko off road suspension. She has nothing but the best new products the trade could supply - Vitrifrigo remote compressor fridge, Truma ducted air conditioning by Sunland Vans, Victron 1800 watt charger/inverter, Atwood lpg water heater, halogen lights, Golf Vans did the upholstery, inner spring mattresses, Smeg hotplate, twin water tanks, all new lpg and water plumbing, solar, awning, flooring by Boroma Vans, etc etc - about 35K worth of goodies at retail price. Interior layout was kept 1962 (mostly revamped original furniture, Gunn supplied the laminates and redwood trims) with twin beds and fold down table. Vicki would suit someone who wants the old look and style but with all the new features. Retained push out side windows (because of the lovely angle design) but has new wind out windows fitted front and rear. Four Seasons hatch fitted inside original box lid. Aluminium body and frame are in superb almost original condition, no leaks. Blue side flashes are a bit sun faded (done quickly with a pressure pack years ago...) The chassis and parallel bearing axles are rated well beyond her 1200 atm (about 230 more than original) and estimated mileage has only been about 6000km since completion (Cooper AT tyres fitted with axle, virtually unworn) - she has some very minor cosmetic damage from being on show, has been stored in shed almost all her latter life too. Needs some TLC but basically you could hook her up and do a few laps of Australia without any problems in complete comfort. Sale includes Haymen Reece adj hitch, weight distribution bars and mirrors. Looking for around 20K or an offer from someone who'll love her - and use her! Took me five years to build, during which time the family grew from 3 to 5 so we don't fit anymore. Not advertised anywhere else yet because I'm hoping someone who appreciates the style and strength of these awesome old Aussie vans will pick her up. Pictures of everything available, plus articles on each phase of construction. Located in Brisbane. Phone John Rooth - 0427 448 279 - if you're interested. You may have to leave a message, I'm on the road a lot. Thanks, and thanks for a great website too!
