Anyone in Melbourne/Victoria want to go me halves in a van? ;d I spoke to the owner and he is, understandably, keen to sell the whole van as is, but I just want the windows! ;d ;d

We bought this van today . Spent a few hours getting it roadworthy, new tyres, cleaned up the bearings, got all the lights working and removed/secured all the bits that could fall off. Then towed it back to Ballarat on a temporary reg without any problems. Plans are to remove the aluminum, repair the frame, put some new ply on it and hopefully start using it! Thanks to Ross as well, a nice bloke. cheers

Hi Coconut67 Yup....Firefighter is correct.. i had a nice old Fairway a while back. Sold it to Jules up near Katoomba. Mrs Reddo still beats me up every time i mention it. Fairway existed up near Sangate in QLD for a lot of years. They where taken over by arow caravans. I think they are still trading on the old Fairway site... I might be wrong. The interior layout appears very similar to the old Fairaway i had. Follow don ricardos link and check out the inside of the van. "Matilda"did not have a porthole... i reckon they are cool.. especialy if they are the hinge open type. Happy restoring... Get rid of that alloy cladding. Reddo

Good on you 67coconut,
I considered getting it just to get some bits off it and save them from the scrappy. I discussed it with Dave01 and told him to list it on here in case anybody else might see it as a project rather than a parts proposition.
I am happy it has been saved and will return to the ranks of the great V V's that are out there being used, especially as it is fairly rare.
Cheers, Leigh.
