We're restoring a vintage caravan to tow behind the Coupe and need some lino to give it that authentic retro look. We require a small piece, to suit a 15 foot long caravan. We are looking for lino that dates in the mid 1960's and prior. In particular, we're looking for the harlequin/atomic look. We'd love to get moving on the van, but have realised that if we start with the flooring first, it'll make choosing the fabric for the upholstery and curtains down the track a bit easier. If possible please send us pictures, as we do not want to waste anyone's time by organising a viewing time, then not being what we're after. We are willing to travel for pick up/organise freight for the right pattern. Please pm us if you think you might have what we're looking for. Any help would be very appreciated

Don`t mean to be a spoilsport but linoleum was reainforceed with asbestos fibres....Hence its manufacture was banned.......Just so you know!!!!

Hi Jovialau, I think there are still original Lino tiles in our van, I guess this means we should leave them there? Did it all have asbestos in it???

Hi, Borrowed the sample book from a local flooring store. i have my eye on a Forbo style called Cricket pitch. green with a fleck. Should look good in Ruby the Runlite. Will match the 50,s enamel Vaxhall stove ( Electric Only about 90cm tall)i picked up at the secondhand dealers this week. Not quiet period but will look a treat i think. Cruz

All linoleum and linoleum tiles up until 1973 had asbestos reinforcing. Also the so called felt carpet underlay was indispersed with shredded bags formerly used for transport of raw asbestos.......Pays to be cautious!!!!

Also old ice chests/kero fridges and some early eskies used asbestos raw fibres for insulation as well as pre 78 wood stoves and heaters. Also used for insulating railway carriages.Brake lining and clutches up till 2003
