Hi Kaybee I have bought entire, real, complete, caravans for less than that book. Ya gotta ask yaself da questions....... Do i want to read about one or.... do i want to own , tow, camp in one . You dont even need the book to restore or build one. Plenty of us have proven that already. Reddo ;D

Matt and I were given Yes ;D ;D "GIVEN" ;D ;D a copy of this book in very good condition from a man that I chatted to at the Allora over the Australia Day weekend. He said that he would drop it in next time he was going past our place. I had forgotten all about it until we got back from Winter Sun and there it was ;D with a little note just reminding me when I had chatted to him and that he had said that it may be a wile before he got near my place. He left only his first name so I could not get hold of him to thank him for the book. I must admit that I had no idea that it was worth so much, and I must say that i would not pay that much for one. Funny how some people will pay way more than something is worth on that site. Why? Convenience, I guess. Gotta love it if your the seller ;D However I must concur with Reddo, I currently have two caravans sitting in my yard that owe me less (combined) than the price of that book, and I might add, I towed them both home! I like my old books, have a bookcase full and a dozen in the franklin, but cringe at paying more than a few bucks each for the 'special' ones. Gunna hafta keep an eye out for anything with winser on the cover when next I scroungin at garage sales and the like for old books.
Cheers, Gristy

Went to Lismore on the Monday after our last SEQ get together and had a look in the old book store, and asked the guy on the off chance did he have any old caravan books, and he only had one..... a Keith Winser book I probably would have thought twice though if it was $295 instead of the $25 I paid for it ;D ;D ;D ;D

If you think about it there must have been 2 people bidding for it to go that high. I want to meet the other one!
Price may seem high but put it into context, $1,000,000.00 for a Falcon?

Too many people with too much money = $1,000,000 for a falcon. I guess the buyer thought it was a good investment. Each to there own, we are all different, some like to have it and are not fussed by price, others, like me, enjoy hunting. Call me a tight a## but I just love a bargain!
