G'day Barndoor, The inside of that 'van is attractive aye? The outside is something like I've never seen before .... it sort of looks as though the Cedar may have been put over something else... plywood ..... aluminium . If you and the 'van are still in the UK why don't you show the photos to the people on this site... I think they might have a few more clues on this one than anybody down here Cobber.

Hi 49Barndoor. Bert Hutchings or Coventry Knight came to mind purely as they being timber clad `vans. Yours though seems much younger than their early designs. Has some interesting features like the etched glass panels,cast iron heater & sconce light fittings. Do the tail lights/wheels give you an indication of era? Looks like it has wind-down stabilisers also. Nice lay out too. cheers gordon

Hi Cobber Still waiting for that site to get back to me over my app for the forum, just abit slow in getting back to me so thought I would try you guys as forum memership came through faster ;D and this site is well cool, Iv been lurking from time to time Was told this was late 30s but I too have not seen such a van

Hi 49Barndoor. You might try tracking down W M Whiteman, The History of the Caravan (1973 Blandford Press, ISBN 0-7137-0643-0) a highly informative book by an equally informed gentleman). cheers gordon
