Sometimes hard to decide where to start a thread on a particular subject.. if aussietanker had his thread going in "members album" I would have put this stuff in it. The introduction of the Don model 150 and Cadet in June 1956 Motor Manual I thought would be of interest to Aussitanker..and maybe other Don tragics too. Mr. Don, you have mentioned the new Don's being introduced in 1957, it is said in this article that the previous models were still being offered as “custom-builts” so it may have taken till 1957 before they were eventually phased out Cobber.

Cobber - there's no doubt about it - you're a great cobber!!
Thanks for posting the article from the Motor Manual, and clarifying the release date for both the Don 150 and Cadet. I had based my comments on a previous 1957 article I had read which also described the 150 as being 'just released', but I was obviously out by half a year or so for the 150 and more on the Cadet! Nevertheless I think I am still right in saying that the 150 had a quite short production run, while the Cadet survived for a few years longer, but there may be someone out there who can tell us differently!
That's what I love about this forum - piece by piece we add to each other's knowledge and put the historical jigsaw together.
The colour scheme described in the article souds very similar if not the same as the one Galaxy65 described for the 150 Aussietanker has just bought, so no doubt that will be helpful for A/T in his restoration.
Thanks again for doing this little bit of research Cobber. What else do you have in your archives??? You manage to pull out some amazing stuff!!

Don, I have a number of afflictions (as Reddo will attest) but two of the most troublesome are my compulsion to collect stuff and to never throw stuff out. I have an almost complete run of "Motor Manual" from August 1955 to December 1961, plus a few extras, and "Modern Motor" and "Wheels" and "Sports Car World" covering the same period I always knew the "Motor Manuals" would come in handy one day Then I got interested in girls, I only kept one of them... still got her too Cobber.
