Another sunliner has been rescued. Mark dropped in this morning with his new acquisition which he is taking back to Ballarat from the Riverland. It needs a bit of work, but we all start somewhere...... Hopefully, we will see resto pics along the way. Steve

Yes it needs a bit of work but a new paint job will make a big difference to the outside appearance. An interior fitout will come after that. Looking forward to the challenge and then the fun & satisfaction of being able to use it. The chassis is stamped with the number C94016P and it also appears on the rego papers. Can anyone identify the age? Mark

I can't decipher that chassis number but your van appears to be about a 1965 model by the finish on the cupboards and the windows.

Thanks Humpty2. 1965 will do me as I will be using a '65 Mustang as a tow car. Can you tell me how many places Sunliners were built? From the forum it looks like they were built in NSW, Geelong & Adelaide? Mark

Not so sure about the Adelaide bit, never heard that before....however they were also built in Bundaberg Qld......easily identified by the one moveable window and 2 fixed at the sides on the front of the van. The main production came from Forster NSW on the North Coast near Taree. I have heard that some were built at South Nowra NSW, but not much has come from that information. Geelong..............yes I think so. Regards Humpty.
