Photos to come soon..... I have a Carapark Hunter that I was restoring/ customizing with my ex - but after our relationship stopped so did the restorations! I am now short of extra hands, handyman advice and tools, so I need to let the little girl go. I have done a very careful and loving job on the old girl so far as it was to be mine, and no expense has been spared, all the outside pop rivets have been replace, all window (excluding the front) have been replaced with crystal clear fibreglass, underneath has been overhauled with rust removal & prevention & resprayed, new offroad leaf suspension, wheels, tyres, brakes, everything! Just to be safe. The inside has been re-floored with cherry wood, the walls and ceiling have been half done with white laminated ply. I also have a million things to go in her that are all vintage from retro picnic basket (full set) to the interior bed spread, that i am happy to sell with her. All the wiring has been replaced and the fittings will all come with her - just need a buyer! If anyone has any suggestions on selling or knows a buyer please fill me in - I am so sad to see her go! Thanks All

Hi ashleajane Sorry to hear you're selling your project. Of course pics will always help with the sale. A price range is also helpful, so people know if it's in their budget.
Good luck - maybe you can get a restored vv and join this mad mob again in the future ;D ;D

So here are some pics - originally i bought her for $900 and spent countless hours and a few thousand dollars to get to this stage. I have two stoves (one electric one gas) a rangehood, and couches that I was going to put in her that will go with her. To be honest it i can get $2000 (very negotiable) i will be thrilled, that will only get me out of money owed - not replace what has been spent, but thats the rule of thumb with projects!

I went to a local garage sale this morning and by chance it was at Ashlea's house so I had a look around the Carapark It is a 12-9 and the badging is extremely good for the van. Ashlea has done a lot of work on replacing the floor with quality timber and the insulation etc throughout the van will make it a lot cooler for those summer weekends (or warmer in the cooler climates) I saw the cut outs in tha back for EJ taillights which will make this a little more special for an EJ Holden owner.
I remember looking at the 10/9 carapark i had and what work it needed before I got the Munro and in Ashlea's van a lot of the hard work is done (floor/wiring etc) and you have the option of decking it out to your own style. Definately worth the money and more as there aren't that many Caraparks going around up here and an aluminium van is a little better in the weather if needed to be left outside for a while. The van is located only a few ks from me near Strathpine on the northside of Brisbane. Rollydog

Hi Ashleajane. That`s a real credit to the rebuild. Certainly gone about it the right way & all the little unique extras like the Ej cut-outs/lights. Not to mention the insulation (did peter garret do a final inspection?)Good luck with your sale. cheers gordon

The polished timber floor gives a good base and ideas for a very neat interior. Up close you can see the extra detail that has gone into this van so hopefully someone picks it up soon Rod aka Rollydog

Thanks so much for the great feedback Rod! It was lovely to meet you and get someone's advice who has been in the game for years! Peter Garrett would approve of the insulation! because it's not the cheap stuff they have been putting into houses these days, it's the quality ceiling batts not the metal insulation as used in the rebate. Anyone keen for a look, just let me know - Thanks again Rod! - Ashlea

This little carapark is still for sale and definately a great buy. I went to Ashleajane's garage sale this morning and the van is sitting there awaiting an owner to take it back on the road + Ashleajane has an EJ Holden to sell . Considering the van has cut outs on the rear panel for EJ tail lights this would make a great pair. As per previous posts the van has been gutted but refloored and insulated and rewired. So a lot of the expensive fiddly work has been done and you get the chance to create an interior to your own specs and the shape of the caraparks gives you more room to work with. Van is located on the northside of Brisbane. Contact Ashleajane direct or send me a pm. Rollydog

UPDATE 23 JUNE Van is still for sale and I now have Ashlea's contact number and the phone number of where the van is at Cashmere (near Strathpine ) on Brisbane's northside. Rather than put her number on here anyone interested send me a Pm or an email to rollydog@live.com.au. It would be great to see a good Carapark like this back on the runs. Rollydog
