Hi Veedub Nut The Newcastle branch of..... "Albert Steptoe and Son Rag and Bone merchants" After traversing the sandstone barrier that is the great dividing range ,will be arriving to much fanfare and flag waving at Bathurst Showground by horse and cart ( read here white HR Yoot and teardrop trailer) around lunch time to mid arvo saturday 2/2. Camping overnight is permitted for a fee of $10. It is expected that the usual myrth ,merriment and over indulgence of brown liquid with copious amounts of frothy bubbles will last long into the evening around the obligatory drum of flames. We of "Gypsy stock" find it far easier to get up around 5;30am on-site and commence browsing the dung mounds with the dreaded hangover than to get up at 2:30am in Newcastle and drive there in a sober state.. The renowned stalls of A. steptoe and son will be offering a wide range of goods and chattels and catering for vintage caravaner's every needs. Prices drastically reduced this season for a quick sale. ( read here i am flogging things off cheap before rightful owners catch up with me) The overnight sleeping arrangements are easily converted to purvey items of interest i have purchased back to Newcastle. There is an old rag and bone merchants proverb that reads something like this "The things that come to those who wait will be the scraggly junk left by those who got there first." ;D ;D A free beverage will be provided to all bona-fide vintage van travellers attending on the day.... providing they shout me one first . See you and the largediddalump there 'Arold Steptoe Esq Licensed dealer in Junk and Scrap

Pity you couldnt make it to Motorfest this year. The place is gunna be overun with Normal ply vans... we need Properts and TDs to keep the ying and yang in balance. I have tomorrow of work...... so plenty of time to spruce up the Splinter Hilton. Cheers mate Reddo
