Hi all,
Odd Rods Street Rod Club are putting on an event at Wairo Beach Tourist Park at Lake Tabourie on the weekend of Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd September.
We will be there with our 1954 Bondy and the Barracuda. If any of the vintage van fraternity are in the vicinity feel free to drop by.
Is anyone else on the forum going for the weekend?
Regards Diane

Hi all, Well a fantastic time was had by all at Wairo Beach on the weekend. Odd Rods Club outdid themselves. ;D ;D Even though it was a car weekend, it was nice to see quite a few, vans of various descriptions, vintage, classic, pop top, camper trailers and teardrops. There was a couple from Bateman's Bay called Pam and Bugsy who recently purchased a late 50's/early 60's vint van originally from NZ - this was their first trip with it. They are not sure of the brand and exact age, so I suggested they take some photos and post them on the site. We also popped into the Ulladulla Caravan Park whilst we were in the area, nice place - good choice for the East Cost Tour Reddo! When we leave home on the start of the East Cost Tour, I have to take the van down to Wollongong (by myself) to pick Alan up from work. Other than towing a very small trailer on one occasion about 20 years ago, I haven't had to tow anything since. Whenever we go away Alan prefers to be the driver and so he has done the towing so far. So I thought it best to have a practice first, therefore I towed the caravan behind my Barracuda from home (Sydney) to Wairo Beach on Friday via the Maccas Car Park at Nowra (wasn't that fun!!). I also managed to reverse it into it's parking area (with verbal guidance) at the caravan park. So I didn't think I did too badly for a first time, I must say I feel rather proud of myself at present. Regards Diane
