Gidday to all you lucky east coasters
from us super lucky west coasters
I mean this with all sincerety
any one that does not make a super special effort to make Reddos east coast vintage Van spectacular
will miss out on the most awsome fun and mate shipping one could ever expect
Snails west coast vintage Caravan springtour was more than just fun from the time we kicked off to the time we finished
beautiful people
beautiful vans
beautiful cars
and beautiful scenery
oh yeah and beautiful food all the way there and back
of course the never ending photo shoots and camera shoots from the hundreds of people that held the sight of the Vans in awe rolling through their towns and provinces (that includes prince Leonard of the hutt River province ) gave us a wrap
and a Royal invitation to the 40 th anniversary of the Hutt River province
snail and Karen have excelled them selves again and are already planning next years adventure with input from all of the vintage Vanners who attended
how can you beat two of the best runs 2005 and 2006 springtours
amazingly successfull and adventure filled weeks for all of us who were lucky enough to experience them
heres the happy Campers

HillBilly won the best effort to get there van ready
the Grand pooh bah made a small speech and said that hillbilly deserved an award because he worked night and day to get it ready
after the speech poohbah took a picture off the wall in the dining room IN THE TAVERN and presented Hillbilly with it after a lot of laughter we handed out the nutrigrain and coco pop awards to other well deserving Vintage Vanners who thought they deserved an award
celebrating the awards
(yes we did leave the pictures at the tavern)
We have to welcome Bert and Jan friends of Snail and Daggy who attended the bridge town dress up and music show l8 months ago
they were a blast and fit in perfectly with what we are about and now are hooked on vintage Vanning and Fraternising with other fun and good time people with similiar interests
they towed one of Snails vans with there spectacular hot pink 58 chevy
Billy and Pat Corke brought there little 66 franklin with the mailbox and doorbell
after three years of work Billy drove his magnificent black 1950 chevy
snail drove his new aqquisition a beautiful rebuilt ap3 valiant in a magic aqua colour with his matching van
(sounds like a spring mix and match fashion parade )
I have to tell you they acheived as much attention as a fashion parade
where else do you get to enjoy the best company and the truly great tourist spots that Australia can offer all that with people giving you the thumbs up and memories that will last forever
heres bert and Jans car
and heres a hitchhiker we picked up
some of the amazing scenery along the way lyn and I at the Pinnacles
I will post more photos tonight
thanks a lot to all of the great people on this site and to the amazing people we have met
a couple of minor hiccups with a couple of cars and everyone pitched in and did there little bit to achieve good outcomes both cars running better than before
and you know what we like no clubs
no Bitching
no purple circles and
and no personal agendas
stuff like my van and car is better than yours
vans on our tour cost any where from $350.dollars up to Brad and Gemmas super teardrop that they have painstakingly built over the last three years
just wait until you see PLAYTIME the ultimate in teardrop technology
until later
thanks a lot to all you like minded Vintage Vanners for the ride of our lives
Lyn and I just love it
